1968 wines: France

	Les Forts De Latour 1968 (75cl) Pauillac, 2nd wine of the great Château Latour 1ère Cru Classé (First Growth) Condition: Superb, levels at the base of neck or better with pristine labels. Note: Every now and then we come across a case of wine that has been perfectly stored and is in perfect condition. This wine is a great example. With each bottle still wrapped in its original tissue, the labels and levels are as good as it gets for a 40 year old wine. 	Château Mouton Rothschild 1968 (75cl) Pauillac, 1ère Cru Classé (First Growth) Condition: Levels at mid - high shoulder. Label intact, some showing signs of cellaring, though all details clearly legible. Click Here for Large Image Price: £300.00 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)


1968 Italian Wines

	Corvo Di Salaparuta 1968 (75cl) Condition: Great levels (top shoulder or better) and labels. Some labels slightly faded/aged, though fine - see Large Image. Tasting note: After an initial earthy 'hit' which quickly faded, the wine opened up with sweet molasses, figs and prunes on the nose, followed by big stewed fruit flavours with delicious, port-like characteristics and truffles. This is a big, juicy red that needs an hour or so to breathe (ideally in a decanter). Try it with steak with peppercorn sauce, blue cheese or even dark chocolate. NOTE: care is needed when pulling the cork - ours broke and had to be pushed into the bottle (not a problem, but very embarrassing for a wine merchant). 24th March '08 Click Here for Large Image Price: £55.00 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)


	Grignolino, Mancardi D.O.C. 1968 (72cl) Condition: Excellent levels and good clean labels (some with slight staining). Signs of some sediment so this wine will need to be left for 48 hours (to allow it to settle) and opened and poured very carefully (or decanted). 	Cognac Petite Champagne, Maxime Trijol 1968 (75cl) Appellation Petite Champagne Controlée (Charentes double distillation) Condition: Mint, bottledfrom cask 22nd September 2006. Individually numbered bottles, ranging from 261 to 265 (out of 560).
