 | Barolo, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli D.O.C. 1968 (72cl)
Condition: Great levels and labels. We have recently acquired this parcel at a fabulous price - hence our huge price reduction (was £95).
TASTING NOTE, 20th Oct. '08: Slightly amber colour. Amazingly fresh and dry with rich, red fruits and a wonderful soft, warm depth and lingering, silky finish with hints of toasted hazelnuts and almonds. Virtually no tannins, just a crisp strawberry-like acidity. A fair amount of sediment, so best left to stand for 24 hours before serving. This is a great Barolo, from a well-know and respected producer, which comes VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
