Condition: Levels fine (base of neck), though labels are badly stained (see picture).

Note. Château de la Grave, owned by the Bassereau family, is situated on well-exposed hillsides lying on the highest part of the commune of Bourg, on the right bank of the Gironde. Using up-to-date equipment, this vineyard produces wines which are distinguished by their finesse, their delightful bouquet and their excellent staying power in bottle. With a predominance of merlot, this has plenty of charm and fruit, with good body and structure.

Condition: Level and label pristine.

R Parker 88 Points:
"The 1982 Gloria is proving to be one of the most pleasant surprises of the vintage. Recent bottles have been beautifully rich, with classic blackcurrant fruit intertwined with scents of spice, herbs, and cedar. Full-bodied, with a lovely concentrated feel, this is the richest Gloria since the tannic 1975 and glorious 1970 (now in decline). When it was young, it was just a big ball of juicy fruit, but it has developed well. While seemingly fully mature, this wine will easily last for another 7-10 years . Tasted 8 times since bottling with consistent notes." Wine Advocate # 102 Dec 1995
