USP: Very clever blend of the best of Italy and the best of France.
Combined: Medium-light bodied blend of lush cherry Corvina and seriously structured Pinot Noir combining the best of Italy with the best of France.
Vinification Note: The Pinot Noir is grown on medium-density ferric soils in the foothills of the Alps near Breganze, while the Corvina vineyards are in the South of the Valpolicella Valpantena zone. Both varieties are planted at a density of 5000 plants per hectare. After harvest around the end of September both varieties are vinified separately with five day pre fermentation macerations at 8C, followed by around ten days fermenting at between 20C and 22C. The Pinot Noir is then aged in a mixture of second and third use barriques and 800 litre Slavonian oak vats. The Corvina is aged in glass-lined cement tanks.
