BOTROMAGNO Nero di Troia IGT Murgia Rosso, Botromagno 2007
Grape Varieties
100% Nero D'Avola

Food Matching Note:
Full of upfront fruit and round, spicy oak notes make this the perfect red by the glass for drinking on its own. Has a lush succulence which pairs well with pasta dishes, stewed meats and charcuterie.

Tasting Note:
Almost opaque ruby red with a deeply fruity mulberry aroma and a lovely sweet flavour of blueberries and cream.

Grape:
Nero di Troia is called Nero for its extremely dark coloured skins.

Location:
From the north of Puglia which is in the heel of Italy, on the Adriatic coast.

Flavour:
Full bodied with lashings of blueberries and cream.

USP:
Troia means Troy in Italian, but this grape is local to Southern Italy, not Turkey!

Combined:
Full-bodied and oaked, with lashings of blueberries and cream, the Nero di Troia grape is a Southern Italian stunner.

Vinification Note:
Crushed and destemmed before 10 days of maceration at 30C followed by six months in oak.
