CARMEL WINERY Kayoumi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmel 2005 Carmel Winery was established in 1882 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild of Château Lafite fame, and is one of the oldest companies in Israel. Sourcing grapes from over 300 vineyards throughout the country, many in cool climate high altitude sites such as the Upper Galilee and Judean Hills, Carmel has become a byword for quality and consistency. The grapes are sourced in the Kayoumi vineyard which is in the foothills of Mount Meron in Upper Galilee in the north of Israel.
