Grape Varieties
100% Montepulciano

Food Matching Note:
Tandoori spiced lamb chops, lamb and red pepper kebabs, pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, olives and goats cheese.

Tasting Note:
Ruby-red core, with garnet hues and an intense, full, ethereal and very persistent bouquet. The palate is harmonious, with hints of wild cherry and fruits of the forest.

Vinification Note:
Cumaro is the Greek name for Mount Conero, where soil and a maritime microclimate marry together to form an ideal grape growing terroir. This world renowned wine is one of Umani Ronchi's icons.
From a selection of the best grapes of the 'San Lorenzo' vineyard in Sbrozzola, Osimo. The vineyard lies at an altitude of 150/200 meters. Alcoholic fermentation on the skins takes place for 10/12 days at 27°C, followed by malolactic fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine is then matured for 16 months in Allier and Tronçais barriques and then bottle aged in a temperature-controlled room for at least a further 7 months.
