| PLAIMONT Chateau d'Arricau Bordes, Pacherenc du Vic Bilh 2006 Grape Varieties 55% Gros Manseng 35% Petit Manseng
Food Matching Note: Ideal as an aperitif, this wine is perfect with Foie Gras, dessert like dark chocolate cakes or simply with strawberries. It is also delicious with blue cheese.
Tasting Note: Pale gold with a lemon tint; the nose has a white flowers and apricot aroma with a citrus character consisting of grapefruit and lemon. The palate is aromatic and complex with balanced sugar and acidity. Deliciously fruity with a long finish and hints of vanilla.
Vinification Note: Hand-picked, placed in 20kg-perforated baskets to allow free-run juice and to prevent oxidation. The grapes are pressed immediately and put in stainless steel, temperature controlled vats where the must is left to settle before being transferred to new oak barrels where fermentation commences. The wine is then aged in barrels for several months before bottling.
