RUGGERI Prosecco Brut, Argeo, Ruggeri NV
Grape Varieties
95% Prosecco
3% Perera
2% Verdiso

Awards and Press:
My current number-one fizz for under £10 a bottle (if bought by the case). A mouthwatering prosecco with a lemon-sherbet edge and delectable hint of clover honey, but almost dry finish. Only 11 per cent alcohol, too.

Susy Atkins, Sunday Telegraph, 3rd July 2011

Food Matching Note:
Enjoyable on its own or with oven-poached fish in olive oil, warm asparagus and prosciutto salad or Thai spices shrimp salad with Asian greens and pesto dressing for example.

Tasting Note:
A classic elegant Prosecco with tiny bubbles (the hall mark of quality) and a fresh green apple nose and palate, with a long, crisp finish.

Grape:
Made from the white Prosecco grape variety, which lends its name to the wine.

Location:
From the rolling North East Italian hills around Valdobbiadene, found in the Veneto region.

Flavour:
A classic, sophisticated Prosecco with apple flavours and refreshing finish.

USP:
A delightful Italian alternative to Champagne.

Combined:
This classic, sophisticated, apple flavoured sparkling wine is made in the Veneto, North East Italy from the Prosecco grape and is a delightful alternative to Champagne.

Vinification Note:
Using a technique called 'White vinification' (without the skins). The grapes are harvested from the hills of the first Dolomitic ridges in the north of Italy from late September to mid-October. The delicate 'sparkle' is added during a slow refermentation in large sealed tanks.
