| Savigny Champ Chevrey, Tollot-Beaut & Fils 1983 (75cl) Condition: Superb levels, slightly bin soiled labels, though all details clear (see Large Image).
Tasting Note: Savigny Champ Chevrey is near Chorey Les Beaune in the Cote d'Or, an area synonymous with great Burgundy. We are delighted with these 1983's as they are in such good condition. Everything indicates excellent cellaring with great levels and a bright clear colour. On the palate, the wine is still surprisingly fresh and light with delicate raspberry fruit and a crisp clean finish. The labels, whilst bin-soiled are still in great condition, intact, with all details clearly legible. A great 25th Wedding Anniversary gift for a Burgundy lover!

| Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) Richebourg 1986 (75cl) Condition: Pristine
Wine Spectator 94 points: "Very firm and deeply concentrated, but wrapped in enough tannin to need at least until 1995 to begin emerging from its shell. Already has great finessse and structure, echoing ripe cherry and sweet spices on the long but tannic finish." August 1989
Robert Parker 94 points: "The spectacular Richebourg has a stunning nose, is more full bodied and powerful than usual, very long, but also quite tannic. I tasted it twice and my estimate on peak drinkability was between 1996 and 2012. It should be a real ager. This is among the few superstars of this vintage, but the 1986 is not for drinking soon-patience is most definitely required." Burgundy Book # B2 Jan 1990

| Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) La Tache 1986 (75cl) Condition: Excellent, with level at 2cm from base of cork and clean, slightly marked label (see Large Image)
Wine Spectator 98 points: "A magical wine, as elegant as we have tasted, loaded with complex aromas an d flavors of cherry, currant, blackberry and cedar, all of which mesh toget her with subtlety. A triumph in every way. Try to wait until 1995 or 2000 t o try it again. 2,000 cases made." August 1989
Wine Spectator 87 points: "Showing good fruit, nice concentration and a firm tannic structure, this has personality, grip and character. Medium- to full-bodied, it has great length but not much elegance. Best from 2005 through 2010." September 1999
Robert Parker 93 Points: "La Tache, made from 35-year-old vines, is a brooding infant. Splendidly perfumed (a trait shared by all their 1986 wines), it showed great depth and richness but plenty of mouthsearing tannins that suggest it needs until 1995-1996. It is quite a big, bold, dramatic red burgundy (as all this domaine's wines tend to be), but it would be a shame to drink it before 1995. This is among the few superstars of this vintage, but the 1986 is not for drinking soon-patience is most definitely required." Burgundy Book # B2 Jan 1990

| Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) Grands Echezeaux 1995 (75cl) Condition: Pristine
Wine Spectator 93 points: "Opulent, its fat yet elegant texture coats the palate. Appealing for all that sweet oak, it tastes of plum, black cherry and cassis, with mocha and freshly ground coffee beans added in. Full-bodied, supple-textured, with refined tannins. Tempting now, but cellar. Best after 2005." August 1998
Robert Parker 92 Points: "This wine is austere, masculine, backward and a dense. It offers superb black fruit flavors and a firm tannic backbone. Drink it between 2003 and 2012+." Wine Advocate # 118 Aug 1998
