Approaching an Amarone in depth and body. Velvety smooth with a lovely long, juicy finish.

2 x Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz (Australia, normally £7.50 each)
Typical big Aussie shiraz with black forest fruits. Lovely on its own on a cool autumn evening.

2 x Marmesa Edna Valley Chardonnay 2005 (California, normally £9.95 each)

4 x Alto de Terra Andina Syrah/Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
"Distinct and complex aromas combining ripe red berries and plums with an undercurrent of walnut, licorice, cappuccino, toasted coconut, cinnamon, black pepper and black olive. Deep and concentrated palate with good structure. Finishes with mild, smooth tannins and good length."

4 x Alto de Terra Andina Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
"Complex aromas reminiscent of ripe red berries, blackberries with a hint of eucaliptus, coffee, chocolate, toasted almond, vanilla and cinnamon. A good marriage of fruit and wood with great structure and soft tannins and a very agreeable finish."
