With more than 1,500 of our wines now available by the bottle, we are focussing this area on superb value wines, available by the case, which we are able to offer at great prices.

We also provide a personal service and are happy to put together bespoke cases for any occasion such as a wedding gift, a corporate function or just for the weekend. We can send your wine ahead for a weekend away with friends or to your holiday destination or we can arrange a 'thank you' with your personal message. We have many wines which simply don't make it onto the website because they sell so quickly or we can only source a tiny quantity.

Côtes du Rhône, Domaine de la Solitude 2010 (6 x 75cl)

We discovered Domaine de la Solitude at a small restaurant in the Souith of France in Uzes (a fabulous Roman town near the Pont du Gard). Couldn't believe it was so good - up with Châteauneuf du Pape, which is no surprise as this Côtes du Rhone is made in Châteauneuf by one of the greatest producers in this famous region.

Rich and full-bodied with those gorgeous plum pudding and stewed fruit flavours that you only get from great Southern Rhône wines, this wine is an absolute star. Proving incredibly popular with our regular customers, we import it direct so that you get a great deal too.

Domaine de Chazalis Merlot 'Cuvée Richard' 2009 (6 x 75cl)

From the south of the Ardeche, the story behind this wine is simple one. This is a small family winery (father and son) who have been making great wine now for just four generations. In the area, this merlot is well-known (and highly respected) with just about all the local restaurants stocking it. Aged in one year-old oak barrels from a top Bordeaux winery, it is the best merlot we have ever found for under a tenner with soft, rounded dark fruits and silky tannins - akin to a good Pomerol. It is still a baby and benefits from decanting an hour or two before serving.

Simply delicious, it will appeal to New World wine drinkers as well as traditionalists and is another wine we import direct, which allows us to offer a great price.

Sauvignon Blanc, Closerie de Chanteloup 2010 (6 x 75cl)

We searched the Loire area to find a great Sauvignon Blanc that would give Sancerre a run for the money (at a keener price). When we tasted Closerie de Chanteloup, we realised that, whilst not a sancerre, we simply couldn't pass it by and probably shouldn't have been surprised when our first shipment sold in weeks.

Crisp and fresh, there are aromas of basil with hints of mint in the background. The palate is typically sauvignon blanc, but with an aromatic depth and a gorgeous long finish that you would associate with a much more expensive wine. This is a young winery run by three young couples who clubbed together to produce their own wines under one umbrella. they deserve to succeed as all of their wines are superb.
