Excellent with levels into neck and good capsules. Some damage and tears to the labels though the vintage is clearly visible. Because this is a 1975 vintage port, there will be sediment in the bottle and we recommend decanting or pouring very carefully.
AboutFounded in 1815, Quinta do Noval achieved legendary status with the Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931 vintage which is considered to be the greatest port of the 20th century. Now one of the portfolio of great wineries owned by Axa Millesimes, the success of this port house is assured as they continue to make the world's greatest ports.
With careful attention to detail, Quinta do Noval pioneered the planting of only those grape varieties that suit that particular terrior. Noval was also the first to produce Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) ports in 1958. The creation of this new category of port was quickly followed throughout Oporto and, because of its competitive pricing, has made port affordable to all. Vintage port is, of course, still the preferred choice of the connoisseur and there is no doubt that Noval lead the field in this category.
Because of the higher sugar levels in Port, it ages extremely well and is a very safe choice in terms of drinking pleasure. As such, this port comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
