Barossa Valley

Located 60km Northeast of Adelaide and ranging 912 square km, the Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s main wine producing regions and is best known for its full bodied red wines, Shiraz in particular. The Barossa valley is home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world, dating back to 1847. Other main grape varieties grown here include Riesling, Semillon, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Penfold’s Grange, Australia’s most famous wine, is made here, as are d’Arenberg and Peter Lehmann wines to name a few.
