The area of Jerez lies in Andalucia in southern Spain and is known uniquely for its Sherry. Grown on chalky soils, the Palomino grape produces a fine, distinctive wine that is then fortified before undergoing the amazing blending Solera system which delivers the consistency of flavour and style. The differing styles range from the Manzanilla, from Sanlucar, which is the lightest and driest, to the dry clean Fino, then to the darker, medium Amontillado, and finally the Oloroso or Cream which is much richer and sweeter.
