South West France
The wines of South West France cover the Aquitaine, Limousin and the Midi-Pyrenees. Within this are the smaller regions such as Cahors with its rich tannic reds from the Malbec and Tannat grapes. Jurançon with its dry, sweet or very sweet whites from the Marseng grapes. Buzet with Armagnac Brandy. Madiran with its rich, tannic, concentrated reds from the Tanat and Cabernet. Bergerac with wines and grapes more in line with Bordeaux blends. In short, there is plenty to explore in this area and lots of new wines to find and enjoy.
