Cinzano Brut Spumante 1967 2 x 77cl

SKU: 41379
Incredibly rare, this was the first sparkling wine produced in Italy. Made with the same grape varieties as Champagne, this sparkling wine is by no means a Prosecco and these two bottles may well be the last in existence.

Superb. The bottles, which are in near perfect condition are presented in their own wooden presentation box/cage as shown.

In the early decades of the 19th century, following the success of the increasingly popular French champagne that dominated the wine export market, Cinzano was asked by the Savoy monarchs to offer their expertise to produce Italy’s first Sparkling Wine. The result was the birth of Cinzano sparkling wines.
Today, the closest sparkling wine made by Cinzano is known as Alta Langa and is also a 'Millesimato' or vintage wine. Made using the metodo classico, this high-quality sparkling wine comprises 15% Chardonnay and 85% Pinot Noir grapes - a blend which would also be found in Vintage Champagnes.

    Our Views

This set is as rare as it gets. For a collector, it is unparralled and we will part reluctantly with these two bottles!
