An engaging nose of lemons and apple crumble leads you down the aisle to a perfect marriage of freshly baked brioche and lemon posset. With a confetti of fine, fine bubbles, this is a beautifully balanced champagne with great citrus fruit and minerality.
Made by Paul Masse, the head winemaker at Champagne Lanson, Masse champagne is his champagne with his brand. In our view, it is a big step up on Lanson - no surprise as it is bearing the name of the man behind it!
Chosen by numerous prestige establishments (including Gleneagles Hotel), Masse champagne is usually served as their house champagne, chosen over the 'Grand Marques' such as Moet & Chandon and Veuve Cliquot. Cleary price related, though as is the case with lesser known brands, quality is all they can be measured on.
Serve well-chilled, it will grace any event, however posh. Frankly, unless you're looking for a better-known brand, there is no point in looking elsewhere as this champagne will impress even the most sceptical of champagne aficionados.
