In stunning condition with the level at very top shoulder and great label for its age (as shown). The colour is also good, still ruby with slight bricking on the edge and the capsule is really clean with no signs of seepage.
Classified First Growth. This is probably the best wine in our extensive collection. As with all wines of this age and particularly of this pedigree, it is essential to check the condition before buying. Most merchants do not state the condition online, no doubt preferring to talk to the customer so that they can sell it (particularly if the condition is not that great). This bottle has been, and still is, stored in optimum conditions in a temperature and humidity controlled fine wine cabinet and will be shipped well packed in polystyrene so that it reaches you in the same condition as it leaves us.
1959 was an outstanding vintage in Bordeaux and with more superb tasting notes than we can list here, we have no hesitation recommending this iconic 1959 1ere Cru Classé vintage wine.
