About
From this pretty village in France, just north of Nuits Saint Georges, Vosne Romanee is a wine, a village and a legend in the wine world. With other legends on its doorstep such as Echezeaux and Romanee Conti, this area is a world apart from other wine producing regions. The most expensive wines come from here with Domaine de la Romanee Conti at the very pinnacle of winemaking. Fans of these wine know that there is no equivalent and those fortunate to have tried them, search without success to find other wines with these unique characteristics. They are the very definition of Fine Wine - voluptuous, elegant, with more megapixels, richer fruits and silkier tannins than lesser wines, which tend to disappear into the shade against them.
There is very little written about the 1938 vintage, possibly because it was the year before the outbreak of war. This is however, Vosne Romanee. An iconic Pinot Noir and one which can be very long lived. Our Views
This is our last bottle of 1938 vintage wine. To our knowledge, there are no other retailers in the UK with this vintage of Vosne Romanee. Don't miss out!
